custom baby quilts

Alright, I'm posting these two together so I can get caught up on showing you what I made back in February.

This little quilt had very specific requests to be very simple and minimal, using only white and navy and various shades of blue for a nautical themed nursery. I was inspired by this quilt I saw on Pinterest.

I especially love the back. It's a Two-Inch Stripes in Navy and to make it a bit longer I added a few extra stripes in the anchors fabric.

She was sweet enough to send me pictures of the nursery all ready for her little's arrival!

This quilt was requested in gender-neutral greens, blues, yellows and browns with animal prints. Just some simple disappearing nine-patch blocks.

Love the Heather Ross strawberries print!!!

It's been hard to be indoors with the nice weather we've been having lately. Hope everyone else is seeing signs of spring too!

I love the subtle addition of the anchors on the back of the 1st quilt and the colours you've used on the second are playing lovely together!

I love making baby quilts! Very do-able. Clever you to insert strips on the back. What a lovely nursery that baby has. Beautiful quilts x two!

LOVE that first one - it is just perfect for a nautical theme without being to novelty-ish.

Your nautical inspired quilt is lovely. It really fits the room so beautifully. I came visiting from Wyoming Breezes blog where Nancy gave you credit for the design of the quilt she was showing. Cant't think of the name but it is the 2.5" squares one in your free tutorial tab. It's a great design. Thanks for sharing it.
