I missed the last blogger's quilt festival but I've been ready and waiting for it this go round! There are already a ton of amazing and inspiring quilts linked up over at Amy's Creative Side.
I'm entering my Happy Camper Wonky Cross Quilt.
This quilt is my favorite! When I'm snuggled up in it I just can't stop looking at all the different, interesting fabrics. It all started with the Birch Circa 60 camper fabric I had been hoarding. I LOVE modern whimsical fabrics, I think they bring out the kid in me.
I know I've told this story before but I wanted to share it again because I think it's pretty amusing. I first envisioned making this a more masculine quilt thinking of my husband and how it would be nice for him to have a quilt that wasn't girly. When I finished the top I asked him what he thought and if he liked it. He said, It's nice but the colors aren't very bright. Me: Huh? He said, I really like the other one you made. Me: This one? Him: Yes, that one's my favorite. Okay then, this quilt is all mine, I'm really happy about it too! LOL!
These little campers sure do make me happy!
