Yay, I love the blogger's quilt festival! It's really fun to see so many amazing quilts all in one place.
I'm sharing my Itsy Bitsy Spider quilt from a few months ago.
I'm really proud of this quilt because it was such a fun creative challenge for me. Improv isn't usually my "thing" but this quilt really pushed me to go for it and develop the quilt as I went along. It was like putting a puzzle together.
Hi Mr. Spider!
I originally made this quilt for a Nursery Versery contest that Rachel had. I didn't win but I'm so glad I participated! I really love those Itsy Bitsy Spiders.
My main idea was to play off of the rain and have the spiders intermingled. Then I added a bright and colorful spider web for the spiders to live. :)
Size: 36" by 44"
Special techniques: improv piecing, free-motion wavy line quilting

Sweet quilt. Great entry into the festival.
Adorable! So unique! I did an improv quilt a few months back and it is so liberating. I love the spiders too!
Lol! I love it. Great quilt!
this is one of my favorite quilts! it caught my eye on flickr originally. i love it all, from the colors to the pattern to that cutie little spider! the bars even sort of look like rain :o)
This is just cool. Look at those happy little spiders! And their web! And the rain! Truly a fun quilt, and the improv style is just so eye-catching. Great work! :)
Ooooh...I'm not usually an improv person either. Actually...I never am. lol I'm hoping to change that at quiltcon with my classes being mostly improv based. This Itsy Bitsy spider quilt is genius! And I love the added little Heather Ross spider in there. Well done!!! A fav. of mine from the BQF for sure!

I love the design and your choice of fabric. A lovely quilt.
I love it - great use of lots of fabrics without overwhelming the quilt! I'm nominating it for fave scrap quilt (which I know you didn't list it as, but I like it that way :)
LOVE this quilt! Great design!
