5 year blogiversary = {big} giveaway

Wow, 5 years?! I can't believe it. What started as a little knitting blog just for fun has stood the test of time. Sometimes posting is light and I don't have much to say but I certainly enjoy sharing and having this record of my creating to look back on.

Of course, your comments are a big part of what encourages and keeps me going. And I want to say THANK YOU to all of you! Five years of blogging deserves a big giveaway for sure!

First, a trip down memory lane.

My very first "sweater", the Minisweater.

A favorite knit, Dinosaurs.

My most worn knit, Berry and Bramble Cardigan.

An long unfinished knit that I would most like to see done, Somewhat Cowl (started in 2007! yikes!).
Unfinished Somewhat Cowl sweater

My first fabric crush, Belle by Amy Butler.

One of my favorite quilts (that is difficult to say since most of them are my favorite!).
Colored Pencils quilt

And now, I would like to give away something really good! Since I know that both knitters and sewers read this blog, I am offering you a choice:

A $20 gift certificate to The Loopy Ewe AND a pattern of your choice from Ravelry (it must be gift-able; limit $8).

A $20 gift certificate to Fresh Squeezed Fabrics AND one of my quilt patterns.

All you need to do is leave a comment telling me your preference: the knitters prize or the sewers prize! For an extra entry, post about this giveaway on your blog.
I look forward to hearing from readers new and old alike! The DEADLINE TO ENTER is noon (CST) Thursday, May 5th.

Hi, MLE!! I love your blog and follow it as much as I can. You are even on my blog list on my own blog!!! Thanks for being so inspirational in the crafty department. Everything you make is beautiful.

I would prefer the sewing prize. You may have a knitting project unfinished from 2007, but I'm right there with you on a sewing project from 2005!! Haha!

Keep up the blogging!

I'm new to the blogging world, or at least coming back around and I love reading your blog and see all your beautiful projects! Thanks for sharing that with us! I would like the sewing as I'm just now picking up sewing and that will help build up my fabric

Happy 5th bloggyversary! I remember that your blog is one of the first ones that I started to follow regularly. I even have to say that I was thrilled the first time that MLE Knits commented on my own blog ;-) Before I forget, I participate in the Knitters prize of course! Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us! It's always nice to find out that you posted a new post! I hope you continue to blog for many many years!

Congrats on five years! I've been reading for almost that long.
I would love either prize; I'm a longtime knitter and a new quilter. If I can't have both(!), I'll pick the fabric, to add to my stash, and I've been eyeing your quilt patterns.

What a great giveaway. If I won, I'd love the yarn from loopy Ewe. Your blog is always fun to read, and you've given me the inspiration to get back to making quilts again.

Congratulations on reaching 5 years! I'm still a long way from that number. Have fun and keep it up!

The knitting prize is definitely my choice.

Happy 5 years! Congrats! Hopefully many more. I love the dinosaurs. I think I'd go for the sewing prize since I already have a TON of yarn. I'm decently sure its been multiplying all on its own.

Congratulations on FIVE years of blogging, Emily. That's a nice accomplishment to be proud of. I'm so glad I bumped into your blog so many moons ago. It's such an inspiration.

Congratulations on five years!

Your quilts are gorgeous so it's a tough choice, but I knit a lot more than I sew so I'd like to enter for the knitting prize, please.
