UPDATE

The surgery went very well and the Dr said he is very pleased with how Jack's lip was put together. He is doing well now but it was awful seeing him come out of the anesthesia and the morphine. The hardest part is that we have to feed him through a syringe for two weeks so that he doesn't stress the incision. He seems to be handling it a bit better now. Poor thing is on hydocodone (vicodin) now which is actually good because it helps him sleep. We were only in the hospital one night but I can tell he is getting a lot more rest now that we're home. Thank you all sooooo much for your prayers, good wishes and support!!! I felt so much more uplifted after reading your comments. The good news is that the hardest part is behind us and I think things will start to dramatically improve over the next two weeks.
